Who wants a frog?

For years we have been laughing at Bob about the tree frogs.  They show up near my pool in early May.  They are very verbal on hot, humid nights or when it is raining.  They would call, we would tell Bob and out he went with his camera.  We have thousands of feet of footage of tree frogs croaking, day or night.  It really turned to be quite funny.

Every year he would ask if he could get rid of the pool and dig a frog pond.  The answer was always the same, "NO!"  There have been years that the pool lid was off and they laid eggs in the water but none ever survived.  He would take the eggs out ant put them elsewhere but it never worked - till now.

We haven't taken the lid off the pool yet.  Warm weather started early this year and so did the frogs.  He isn't taking pictures this year either.  Surprise, surprise.  He was gone away the other day and I was out near the pool and noticed these black things on the pool lid.  They look like small fish.  I bet they are tadpoles.  Upon his arrival home, I let him know about these little black things on the lid.  As soon as I saw his face I knew he thought the same as me - tadpoles.  Sure enough, that is what they are.  There are hundreds of them.  Now I am not allowed to take the cover off until they leave in 3 to 4 weeks.  This should be a great picture of all these frogs leaving the pool at the same time.  Might even make a good movie.  The frog pond now exists in my backyard.  Frogs for sale!
